They may even reveal a few of the secrets behind the movie magic!
Step onto a live shooting stage for our guided Thunderbirds Are Go Behind-The-Scenes Experience. This journey into our latest handcrafted world, reveals the authentic set pieces, props, and models that bring to life this contemporary retelling of the beloved TV classic. FAB.
A cavern of creativity, the Weta Cave shop also boasts sculptures made by the filmmakers at Weta Workshop, prop replicas, apparel, jewellery, books and more. While you’re here, take a seat for a free film about the history of film-making on the Miramar Peninsula. It screens throughout the day.

Wellington Regional Stadium (known as Westpac Stadium through naming rights) is a major sporting venue in Wellington, New Zealand. The stadium's bowl site size is 48,000 sq m.
The stadium also serves as a large-capacity venue for concerts.
Wellington Botanic Garden
Visit Wellington Botanic Garden and enjoy its 25ha of unique landscape, protected native forest, conifers, specialised plant collections, colourful floral displays, and views over Wellington city. The garden is a Garden of National Significance by the Royal New Zealand Institute of Horticulture and is an Historic Places Trust Heritage Area.
Take the Cable Car up and follow the Downhill path to the city.
Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa

Te Papa is located on Wellington's spectacular waterfront. Open 10am to 6pm every day except Christmas Day. General admission is free.
TSB Bank Arena
The Arena, the largest of the spaces, works wonderfully as an exhibition space and venue for welcome functions, conferences, and gala dinners. With 2186m2 of flat floor, pillar free space, the Arena can accommodate a gala event up to 1,200, and has a performance standing capacity of 5655.
Wellington Museum is housed in the Bond Store, an 1892 heritage building designed by leading architect Frederick de Jersey Clere. Set over four floors, the exhibitions tell the myriad stories of our city and region. Wellington Museum's newest permanent exhibition, The Attic, opened in late 2015. Set in the newly open to the public fourth floor, The Attic features some of the curious and quirky tales from our past. From lions to artwork, steam engines to UFO sighting flies, Vampires and a time machine (Nga Hau), the Museum shares our fascinating stories.
Wellington Cable Car
The highlight to any visit to Wellington is a trip on Wellington Cable Car. In just 5 minutes you will reach the top of the Botanic Garden where panoramic views of the city and harbour are the reward. You can also visit the Space Place Observatory here. Before you head back down make sure to visit the Cable Car Museum (free entry), which provides a history of the city's symbolic mode of transport and see the original cars and winding machinery on display. There are walking tracks that start at the top of the Cable Car if you're keen on a stroll back to the city. The Cable Cars leave every 10 minutes.
Wellington Night Market
The bright lights, delicious smells and buzzing atmosphere of night markets so familiar throughout Asia has arrived with the Wellington Night Market. In Left Bank off Cuba Street on Friday and Saturday nights, the market offers people a new food and shopping experience, along with a variety of entertainment, including live bands, cultural dance performances, and karaoke.

Free, one-hour guided tours of Parliament operate every day on the hour. Take a tour with one of our trained guides to visit key parts of Parliament's buildings and learn about our parliamentary processes, and have an insight into New Zealand's history and culture. Tours operate seven days a week with the first tour at 10am, last tour 4pm.
We recommend you arrive least 15 minutes before the tour departs as tour group sizes are limited and so you have time to check in your belongings. Everyone must leave their bags, coats, phones, cameras and other electronic devices in secure storage at the Visitor Centre in the Beehive. Individuals do not need to book.
Groups of 10 or more are required to book their tour in advance. Specialist tours are available on request but must be booked in advance.
